CAPRICORN

The earthy, outgoing cardinality of Capricorn is applied on the practical level in the everyday necessities of life. The negative polarity of the sign gives Capricorn's the ability to withdraw from t  he turbulence of the mainstream and to bide their time until the situation is ripe for their ambitions.

One type of Capricorn is similar to a tethered domesticated goat. This type never ceases to strive to get somewhere and yet never really does! The other type of Capricorn is like the free mountain goat, forever climbing and attaining greater heights.

Good Capricorns are reliable. Their positive traits include being practical, ambitious, prudent, efficient, persistent and patient, and they have a good but dry sense of humor. They are ruled by the contracting, concentrated energy of Saturn. Capricorns can also be cold and rigid, pessimistic and intolerably conventional. Being ruled by Saturn, time is important in the Capricorn life. Capricorns are often slow to develop, requiring more time than others. But at the middle age they often seem to be at a plateau, unchanging for decades, while their contemporaries age at a normal pace.
