In Aquarius, the outgoing, self-expressive positive polarity combines with the communicative nature of air. Aquarians are disseminators of knowledge. They prefer to express themselves through sizable groups of people. Being of a fixed nature, they are unlikely to budge from their preconceived ideas but they usually have a progressive outlook. They are original, inventive, intellectual, friendly, independent, idealistic, revolutionary -- sometimes straining to be unconventional.
Aquarians are very loving, but their caring is more easily expressed in a detached concern for groups rather than individuals. Aquarians must have their freedom and close personal relationships are often too restrictive.
Traditionally, Aquarius was thought o ruled by Saturn. The modern day Aquarian is believed to be ruled by Uranus - the erratic revolutionary - which energized the Universe in a most electrifying manner.
